We were offered one of the blind and wheelchair accessible apartments 
we were hoping for but since there were no 1-bedroom places, they 
offered us a  2-bedroom apartment and there is the catch: this is 
more expensive than 2  1-bedroom place usually allotted to a couple. 
we may have a chance to get it on an exception but this is up to the 
Lord and prayer. So we would appreciate everyone's prayer.

on another note, my mother died a couple days ago. She died in her 
sleep and was found by her neighbor. she was 84 years old and had 
dementia but she had her burial prearranged when my dad died back in 
2002. she will be buried at my father's side in Munich where my 
half-brother lives. Thus I will not be able to attend the funeral but 
this would have been difficult anyway. My mother had made or not made 
her decision s  about Christ. So I cannot be sure where she will 
spend eternity.
