Thank you for all your responses. I'm about to leave for a month long trip
and these suggestions will be most helpful.

NEW YORK CITY

BAKERY on Lexington Ave between 60 & 61st Sts called "Sprinkles". "The best
gluten free cupcakes I ever ate. It was red velvet and I don't usually like
that flavor.

There's a Korean restaurant right across the street from this bakery, we
enjoyed the chicken teriyaki".

Senza Gluten - 206 Sullivan Street (recommended by several people)
Jennifer's Way Bakery is a 20 minute or so walk from Senza Gluten.

Nizza - 44th & 9th Avenue (mid town) (recommended a couple of times)

Bistango - 29th & 3rd Avenue

The Little Best - 24th & Park Avenue

5 Napkin Burger - gluten free buns & French fries

Lilli and Loos for Chinese Food - 792 Lexington Avenue @ 61st Street
(recommended by several people)

Lilli Deli - 57th & 7th Avenue

NEAR GROUND ZERO:

Google gluten free in nyc

Celiac chicks website

LONG ISLAND, near Massapequa:

BareNaked Bakery in Bellmore "it's my favorite place in the world"!"

NEW JERSEY, SHORT HILLS MALL

The Cheesecake Factory - has gluten free options.

Pascarella Brothers - have celiac in the family and will do separate prep
area

Morristown NJ is a cute town to walk around at night, perhaps get a drink or
some ice cream.

I was told to visit online glutenfreetravelsite.com I haven't done it yet
but I will. They said there are many reviews on their website.

Thank you all so much. I will do a summary of where I went (definitely
going to bakeries, Nizza, senza gluten, BareNaked Bakery, Pascarella
Brothers). Findmeglutenfree here I come. I plan on eating my way through
this trip. See you in November!
