No menu change as I recall.  Have you switched bands?  I always forget 
which is a and b, but I think one is genetral coverage.  I'll have to 
check mine, but it should put you in weather mode whether you are in 
memory or not.  Just checked mine and it goes to weather channel when in 
memory mode.  Be sure you are in dual band mode.  function 3 puts you in 
single band mode, not sure if this matters.  3 key switches from band a 
to b and back.  Hope all that makes sense.
