Steve:
Up here in Newfoundland its home farmed beaf, moose meat and sea food.
However, I'm sure that the hole push up mast, rotator and hex beam set up will weigh considerably less then my tower, ham IV and A-3s did when it had to come down 2 or 3 times a year because the tower sections required tightening.
Plus when a big storm was forecast, all I could do was prey but with a push up mast set up, at least you could run out and safely lower it to a height where it wouldn't get beat up by the winds.
The peak of my cottage's roof is 12 feet heigh, so I could put the mast on a 4 foot platform riser, lower the beam to where it could be lashed down to the roof in times of very bad weather.
A little bit of elbow grease and sweat is well worth the hassle of trying to get together 4 or 5 hands to help you lower a tower or simply watch as your beam comes apart with 140KM wind gusts. LOL
I'd say good thing the A-3S cost me only 100 bucks and maybe 25 for a fibreglass glass auto body kit and shrink rap. LOL
