Damn . . . . Sorry again for the personal email. I am so used to not having
to change the email address.

I also need to use plain text when posting to the List.

Evidently I am a slow learner, Hi.

No pine smelling air at South Lake Tahoe. Its like a small city up here =
now. Wall to wall people.=20

If they had any decent shows, I=E2=80=99d like it but as you know, no =
lounge acts any more. South Shore Room used to have big name acts =
7-nights a week. Now just hit and miss with Rock bands that I mostly =
have never heard of and don=E2=80=99t want to see.=20

We=E2=80=99ve been scouting out camping sites for us and for Molly. My =
great nieces are camping near Markleyville so we decided to take a drive =
up to see where they are camping. We asked friends to come along and =
they wanted to stay over night so here we are. Actually South Lake Tahoe =
is just slightly an hour from our house so if they had any decent shows, =
we=E2=80=99d come up more often but they don=E2=80=99t.=20

I might have been here once maybe 15 years ago, but maybe not. If not, =
then its been maybe before I moved to LA so probably 40 years.=20

We recorded Molly=E2=80=99s first LP when she was 6 up here. Skeetz =
Herfut lived up here and had a recording studio. He played in the big =
orchestra in the show room at Harrah=E2=80=99s. So we used his studio =
and he played on some the LP. He was a great player. Use to work with =
Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey among others.=20

So you use Jaws? I used Window-Eyes.=20

How do you like Jaws? I=E2=80=99ve heard bad things about it and about =
the company who owns it. But of course that was from Window-Eyes users.=20

So, Rehab didn=E2=80=99t insist on you being trained for something else? =
They just bought that stuff for you?

When I went through Rehab for the training for BEP, they bought me a =
Perkins Braille. I had one but now I have a 2nd. I sent one back to =
Perkins to get some TLC. Now I should send the other one there as it =
would be great to have two of them working when I am handling net =
control and taking traffic both.=20

I think they bought me a calculator which is long gone. But that was =
some 30 years ago.=20

Gonna take a shower, have breakfast, check out and drive over to see my =
great nieces at their camp site and then probably go home to 100 Deg =
temp. It was 90 up here yesterday. Hot for Lake Tahoe but better than =
100 in the valley.=20

Hi Bob, I haven't been to Tahoe for so many years I can't=20
remember when, holds no appeal for me other than the hopefully=20
still clean pine scented air.
Regarding rehab, I went to them after retiring and got them to=20
buy me the Plextalk, a copy of Jaws, and the Apex NoteTaker that=20
just got sick on me and lost its braille display. I just told=20
them I needed equipment for my music and keeping track of my=20
expenses and such. Have no idea if they are still as generous. =20
The VR stream is a very cool device but in recording mode, I=20
think the Plextalk is still better, but I haven't really tested=20
out the Stream capabilities because the first version was really=20
bad at recording. The new version can record using 44.1 16 bit=20
wave sampling so it should be better than it was before. 73, Jim
