ok i made an account on
repeaterbook.com.
It looks pretty easy to use.
I managed to find another repeater in my area that i'm going to see 
later if my uv5r can hit from my porch since i've got a bit of trouble 
hitting one about a mile away.
Well more trouble receiving it than hitting it i'd say. *smile*
