Hi Jeff,
Well it's kind of in what ever one wants.
Ofcourse the tmv71a is a mobill rig and so puts out more power then an h t.
If you only need an ht then you probley don't need a tmv71a.
The tmv71a puts out around 50 wats on two meters and 35 wats on 70cm or
440mhz.
It may also be some better with the voice read out reading menu's.
