"high cholesterol levels are positively correlated with longevity in people over 85 years old"



I recall listening to a radio interview with a doctor who believed a paradigm shift was in order regarding aging. 



He suggested that perhaps blood pressure and cholesterol *should* increase over time to compensate for other things.



Interesting stuff.
