System Restore as implemented in Windows ME was broken from day one and
never repaired. Nothing to do to fix it except to upgrade to XP, which
finally had a working version. ME took the worst of all worlds and combined
them together, and is the most unstable flaver of Windows 9X as a result.
This is one of the few times that I would argue for an upgrade to XP over
the previous Windows version. And the funny thing is, I would push people to
downgrade to XP from Vista even after Service Pack 1 was released. XP
Service Pack 2 has just about the best combination of stability and
functionality of the current Windows offerings, at least in this
technician's point of view. :)

Subject: [PCBUILD] ME restore point
I tried to set up a restore point on a computer running Win ME. Set up
looked fine, but when I went back to check that the restore point was
there, I get a message that no restore points have been set up on this date.
I tried it a couple of times, no success. What's happening?
