Richard:
I find that you don't want to use the sub receiver control function. This
function activates when you press the sub receiver volume control
in...simply use the right and left keys in the diamond configuration to
select which side of the radio you want to be on. The control function
seems to confuse everything and make simple operation more difficult.
If you have activated the sub receiver control, simply press the sub
receiver volume control once to exit that mode and then you can use the
right and left buttons...
If you want to do a skype thing sometime just let me know and we can arrange
a sked.

Subject: Operating the Kenwood TS-2000 Sub Receiver
Hi!
This question has to do with operating the Sub receiver - I think this is
referred to as "PTT" and/or "Control" or something like that.
When I press the "Sub" button [right button in the four button diamond
shaped cluster to the right of the main tuning dial] it moves me to the Sub
receiver. Indeed, I can then hear, change frequencies thereon, change bands
thereon and so on. However, I do not seem to have "control" (question) of
the Sub receiver - like for changing PL tones for a 2M repeater.
I don't get it : ( What am I missing? From the manual, I understand that
there is a difference between "PTT" and/or "Control", but I am confused. If
I move over to the Sub receiver I would like PTT and PL tone functionality
to be there also.
