I tend to agree with you I don't mind wearing the brightest clothing I can,
and never go out in dark clothing, I have a could of the vests police and
what not use for visibility at night. I really am not comfortable traveling
the streets alone though, I do it when I need to but I've had too many close
calls, I listen to the police scanner all the time and hear a lot of
accidents that make me wonder "how did that happen?" because only an idiot
could get in to them, I ride with my wife through every cut off, everyone
who rides dead center of the road sending her and my other rides places
almost in to poles trying to dodge them. My road is off a narrow
sidewalkless windy road where people do 3 times the posted speed limit, on
the center line and people have to dodge them all the time. It's a miracle
there aren't more accidents on that road but when there are, they're always
bad ones either with fatalities or people hurt so bad they wish they were
just killed instead. The couple times I walked with my wife on that road I
swear we spent more time on people lawns than on the road because people are
so all over the place. That road runs parallel with mine, there are houses
across the street then that road, there's a U turn to get off my street, and
you hear the close calls at least one or 2 a day.
