Good luck with your first QSO Carmela.   You will be nervous, but it 
will all work out fine.  BTW,   while you would use LSB mode on the low 
bands (75 and 40 meters), you would use USB (upper side band) mode on 
the higher bands of 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meters.

Of course be sure to stay within the frequency limits of your license 
class.  Also if the other stations sound like Donald Duck talking into a 
bucket, be sure you are on the correct sideband for the band you are 
operating.   Last of all, have fun.
