always always get a case for your phone or ITouch or whatever...they're 5 
bucks or less at most places and will save your phone during a fall most of 
the time.
Even the cheap cases will help to reduce the impact when the phone hits the 
floor or whatever.
Even a screen protecter will help dull the impact on the screen and save a 
shattered or cracked screen...
The first question apple asks on a warranty issue is, did you have the 
recommended case and screen protecter on.
