I just use one program at a time, and restart the computer if I'm going to
switch to a different one. I would think that, since the TS590 uses USB for
not only CAT control but audio interfacing, it might be difficult to set up
a virtual comm port. But I might be all wrong about this.

Subject: Virtual Com Port Utility

Hi!

What is recommended for a good "Virtual Com Port" utility? The issue is
that different applications lock-up the PC's connection (Com Port) to my
Kenwood TS-2000's serial port. For example, I use 1) the ARCP-2000 for rig
control and 2) Amateur Contact Log for logging. However, without some sort
of a virtual com port utility these two applications cannot run at the same
time, sharing the one, single com port connection to the rig.
