All an antenna tuner can do is fool the transmitter. That process improves
the transfer of power from the radio to the antenna. The closer the tuner
is to the radiation point of the antenna, the better. With balanced line,
this is not as critical as it is with coax. When coax absorbs power, that
energy goes to ground, rather than out to the ionosphere.
