Hi,

Yep. In fact, that’s exactly what you use to upload new firmware.

I’ve actually got a source for a nice heavy duty power cord. I just have to find it again. There’s only one thing. To put less stress on the connectors, Elecraft recommends using right angle connectors. I found such adapters on eBay; I’ll get you an item number if you’re interested. Or maybe I’ll just bring you a couple when I see you in November. 

The cable is nice heavy wire, at least 16 gauge. It came from somewhere that sells lots of stuff for APRS, but I can’t remember the name of it. I’m sure I have it bookmarked though.
