Linda,

I use XMlog sometimes, and know it is a Windows program. Sorry I can't
recommend anything for the Mac.

The general term for this kind of software is "logging software" or
"logger". When connected to a radio, the software will grab the date
and time from the computer, and the frequency and mode from the radio,
you just enter the callsign and whatever other info you want to store.

Hope you do well with your General and get on HF. It is not required
to log contacts, but it can be nice to keep a record of who you work
and where they are.

73, Steve KW3A
