Are any of you familiar with the Y verses a W style wall mounting bracket
for securing a mast, like a telescoping mast, or section of pipe, to the
fascia board of your house? The W style is shaped a little like the print
letter W with each of the legs of the W bolted to the fascia board of the
house and the mast secured in the center part of the W with a U-bolt. The Y
style actually looks more like the print letter V than a Y, but
nevertheless, the style is referred to as a Y style bracket. Each leg of the
V is bolted to the fascia board of the house, and the mast goes inside the
point of the V and secured with a U bolt, or at least, this is the way it
has been described to me.

My question is have any of you used the Y style bracket, the one that really
looks more like the print letter V, and if so, were you satisfied with it?
The only experience I've had with such brackets is with the W styled one,
which I really prefer, but I cannot find one the size I need. The only W
styled mast wall mounting bracket I can find is a 4 inch stand-off bracket,
and I really need a 6 inch one. I can find a Rohn WM6s 6 inch mast wall
mounting bracket, but it is the Y style, and I am not familiar with that
style bracket. I've only used the W style which I really like.
