Yes, he was in declining health, and the controversy over it was even more
sad.

That is very strange that LA was not carrying his show for a while as it was
a great show.

He was suffering, so he is now in a better place. Believe it or not, there 
was a time in the late 70s when his show was not being aired in L. A.
