Ear John,

Music comes on when you first bring up my home page.=20

But on my recordings page:

www.ringwald.com/recordings/php

There are several samples. Did you hear those?

I made my living playing music for 25 years. Now just do it on the side =
for extra money as I own a vending machine company.=20

I used to get to NY often when my daughter lived there. But she moved to =
LA so I don=E2=80=99t get there any more.=20

Always went out and caught the music scene in the city, especially John =
Giordano and the Night Hawks, Jon Erik Kellso, Dan Levinson, etc plus = back
in the 80s the New Eddie Condon's, and a whole bunch of other =
clubs.=20

I really miss getting to NY now.=20

Bob

I play the Sax and Clarinet, stopped playing in bands about 20 years ago
mostly Dixieland. Now I play for myself.
I listened to as much as I could. I wish I was in CA to catch you live.

Thanks. Are you a musician?

Did you hear just the music that starts when you go to my home page? Or =
=3D did you hear some of the music on my recordings page?

This is from my ham radio page at:

www.ringwald.com/ham.php

In the late '50s, Bob used to hear Morse Code from Russian commercial = =3D
=3D3D stations on the 80-meter band. He tried many times to contact the
=3D3D stations, but was always ignored.

One night in frustration, Bob called the Russian and instead of =3D3D
identifying with his call K6YBV, he sent the call of the station that = =3D
=3D3D the Russian was calling.=3D3D20

Lo and behold, the station came back to Bob and started sending Morse = =3D
=3D3D Code in Russian. When he stopped for Bob's reply, Bob told him that he
= =3D3D =3D was really an American ham. The Russian didn't wait for any
further = =3D3D explanation. He immediately broke off the contact and would
not =3D3D acknowledge Bob.=3D3D20

What with the political climate in the USSR at the time, Bob always = =3D3D
wondered if some poor unsuspecting Russian radio operator got sent to = =3D
=3D3D Siberia for communicating with the United States.
