I am a member of the Princeton Ham Radio Club and we held our annual hamfest
yesterday. We didn't have as large of a turn-out as we expected and there
wasn't much in terms of stuff to buy, mostly old junk. Though, there was a
pretty nice SB-221 linear amp there that sold for around $600, and a very
clean TS-2000 that the fellow was asking $1000 for it, and I understand he
would probably take as little as $800 or $900; I thought seriously about
buying both, the SB-221 and the TS-2000 but talked myself out of it.
However, I am still thinking about contacting the fellow with the TS-2000
and offering him $800 and see if he'll take it, since he didn't sell it at
the hamfest. I did purchase a 1000 foot reel of coax, brand new, for only
$20, and a new MFJ dula band antenna for my Baofeng handheld transceiver.

What do you all think of $800 or $900 for the TS-2000? It doesn't have the
voice module; so, I would have to add that.
