Exactly. Isn’t that what I said? It is not an HT. An HT doesn’t run 50 watts.

Bob, it's not an HT, it's a mobile rig.  I have a Kenwood TMV71A if that's 
the rig to which you are referring.  Jim

It has 3-power levels, the top being around 50 watts. No HT can do that.

Someone please feel free to educate me here if I'm wrong but if the=3D20
TMV71A only gives access to the 2 meter and 440 meter bands, what =
makes=3D20
it any more useful than the dual band HT's that afford the same access?
I've heard a lot about the kenwood rig but have yet to hear =
anything=3D20
that could be considered a significant advantage over a simple HT.
