Hi sulayman,
It is rather interesting to hear another view of the Jammeh regime from
anther patriotriotic supporter. It is sad for someone who is trying
forcible to discredit as u put it "those intellectuals" for not going back
home and contribute and be among those whom are still here in the west
trying with all means to stay here. (if u know what i mean). It is rather
clear from your posting that U either have difficulty in expressing your
thoughts or U lost yourself in the process of doing so.
Whom are u anyway to say that people abroad are not contributing in the
Gambia. Do u have to be there physically to be a productive citizen. In
case u dont know the answer to that simple Q is no.
Some of the very people u are condemning because of their views towards
their gov't have all rights to express those views either on the bantaba or
on any other forum. In a democracy u dont trust your leaders. U challenge
them to to maximize what they have to offer to the people.
This forum is another means to show our satisfaction, hope, desire
,frustration etc toward those we've give responsibility to, and we have all
rights to held them accountable.
One piece of advice "please do not associate the struggle and the sacrifice
of Gandhi and Mr King with Jammeh". He might be a great guy to u, but it is
laughable to many when they read your piece.
