Sorry you didn't have any luck over the weekend, but glad the voice
recorder works for you.
I'll piggy back on Lloyd's question of whether your rig was working
correctly. Not trying to insult your intelligence, but were you on the
correct antenna? It defaults to ant 2 for 6 meters, although you can
change this to ant 1 by a long press on the pre amp key. The ant 2
jack has 2 little raised bumps next to it and (strangely enough) the
ant 1 jack has a single bump.
Also if you were trying to load your HF antenna, and have a low pass
filter in line that cuts off above 30 mhz, it will kill 6 meters.
Again, not trying to insult you, just hate to think you may have spent
the weekend on the wrong antenna jack. Probably just a matter of not
being at the radio at the times the band was open, or maybe just
looking in the wrong part of the band.
