I wish they had not discontinued the old RadioShack talking watch that had
time, stopwatch and timer functions on it with the bar across the bottom of
the face to check the time. LS and S Group had them for a while under
another name, but they also no longer carry them. It had a good strong male
voice, and no ping at the beginning of the time announcement. If anyone
knows where you can get those let me know, but I don't recall the brand
name. I bought 3 of them several years ago when LS and S was closing them
out, but I am on my last one.

I agree! I did not like the idea of having the Braille watch cleaned every
few months. The only maintenance needed for a talking watch is to have the
battery changed every two years.
