Jim, it is just about 4 PM as I type this. Six has been open for at least 5
hours. The opening isn't a world beater by any means, but it has lasted
quite awhile, and it covers a large portion of the country. I have worked
quite a few states, and am getting very good signal reports. With any luck,
it will keep going for a while yet. Six is a lot of fun when it is open. I
suspect that many guys miss openings as they generally don't have a totally
separate station that can be left on 24/7, regardless of what other bands
they happen to be using.
Good luck with yours Jim, and who knows, maybe we will run into each other
on 50.125.

Subject: 6 meter opening
Mike, I just worked a 6 meter station in Arizona here, at 14:55
local time, my first sort of long contact on 6 using a totally
wrong antenna, a 10 through 20 pertical but it tuned up alright.
Kind of a short opening, but guess it's the time of year for
that. Jim WA6EKS
