Most likely you will not need the calculator.  When I took my Extra test a
few years ago, the examiners allowed me to have access to the Windows
scientific calculator.  There was a little math on my Extra test, however, I
didn't need the calculator to reason out the answer.  If you understand the
concepts, the math is easy.  Difficult problems are not necessary on the
test.  The test developers want you to understand the concepts, you need not
be a math major.
