Yep understand that fully and couldn't believe had done that especially when
am usually very careful on checking things as far as what antenna setting am
on hi.

Hi Don,

Modern transceivers will fold back the power if the SWR is high, and this
applies to an open antenna connection.  It's the kind of thing though you
never want to test <wink>!

Well if happen to inadvertently swap the coax from the antenna on to the
wrong connection on the back of the radio and keyed would it hurt the radio
or is it designed to drop down power wise etc. to protect the radio?
