because wire nuts can come off and there is then no way to tell which is the correct lead to reattach them. also how the hell did they put the power pole on backwards?  obviously someone assembled them wrong in the first place.Ares  aka wuxocm and thousands of hams can not be all wrong. Obviously they are reliable enough for their intended use because they have been in universal use for over a decade. Like any connector they can be installed incorrectly or abused. There are also two current capacities that fit int he same plastic housing, and often people use the smaller of the two contact pieces, whig will still mate, and gives the connectors a bad name, because of use that is not what the connectors were designed for. Ifused as they were intended they are incredible effective.
