Ring terminals are a good way to go, *but only if the lock 
nuts on the power supply terminal can be removed in order to 
slip them over the terminal bolts.

With some supplies, such as the MFJ-4245, those nuts will 
not separate from the bolt.

In a case like that, you must either use the open ended 
terminals that are more or less u shaped, or push the tinned 
ends of the power leads through the slots in the terminal 
bolts, then tighten the lock nuts down on them.

I have never converted to the power pole connectors. There's 
no particular reason for my not doing that, other than I 
just haven't found it necessary to do so.

For some situations such as a mobile 2 meter rig, where it 
is convenient to disconnect a radio for storage in the 
trunk, I have used trailer connectors. These are sold at 
auto parts stores, and are used to connect the lights and 
electric breaks on utility or boat trailers to the 
electrical system of the towing vehicle. I will describe 
them in more detail if enquiring minds want to know.
