Hi Linda, the radio has a fairly loud speaker, but considering 
your hearing requirements, you may want to explore getting 
another external speaker.  Hard to say what would work best for 
you.  I think you should just give it some time, see how the rig 
sounds then, if you need something else go for it when you can.  
Personally, I connect my rig to an external speaker here in my

I just thought of something.

Do i really need external speakers for the radio?

Or is the speech loud enough to hear.

I just don=92t to spend money on speakers.
 and for later on, what kind of speakers.
