Elecraft have become receptive to accessibility.
I met Eric at Friedrichshafen in June, and some of the ideas which I put
forward for the K3 have been implemented in the KS3.

Subject: kx3 utility
The pc utility for the kx3 works perfectly with speech. Standard dialogs
and menu structure.
I was able to program memories from the software, update the firmware to the
latest version.
I saved my configurations, didn't try to restore a configuration, because
that wood be a risk I wasn't willing to experiment with.
I think you can't access all of the menus through the software, but their
was a "advanced mode". I didn't see a difference there. It might be in
advanced mode by default.
The firmware made its own virtual com port.
