Yah Tom, I did that with a 100 percent charged battery but that
didn't help either. It was when I took the battery out and
threatened the unit that I would never put the battery back in,
that it decided to shape up after about a half hour without
juice. Seriously, I have no idea why it started working again
but I played around with it a bunch using an earphone then when
it started working again, first only on the earphone, the volume
was all the way down and I know I hadn't turned it down before
the thing just plumb quit. I don't have any explanation for the
strange action, and I bet HW support won't either. 73, Jim

You have to have the unit on to reset it. Turn it on. It
doesn't matter if it
doesn't work. This will, of course, require that a charged
battery is in it or
that its plugged in. Once its on, press the power butten and
hold it for at
least seven seconds. The unit will then reboot and you will
hopefully be good
to go.
