Hi Matt and all. Thanks for the good info here. question; once I get
my general; license, what kind of a rig would you recommend for working
some of the other bands such as the 10 and 6 metre for working ssb? Or
is it all in the antenna? I live in an apartment so I can't put up a
huge antenna rig like a lot of folks seem to do on here. But I
definitely want to expand my coverage eventually. Also, radio
accessability is an obvious factor too!
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Well it's kind of in what ever one wants.
Ofcourse the tmv71a is a mobill rig and so puts out more power then an
h t.
If you only need an ht then you probley don't need a tmv71a.
The tmv71a puts out around 50 wats on two meters and 35 wats on 70cm or
440mhz.
It may also be some better with the voice read out reading menu's.
I hope this helps.
Thanks 73 Matt ka0pqw
