I went to the Chirp website and didn't see anything that specifically told
us how to use Chirp with JAWS or a screen reader to program our radios.

Subject: chirp and accessibility for the blind ham
hello,
I am sure many of you would like to be able to program your radio using =
whatever software works with your system. However, when it comes to most =
radio programming packages, there is a lot to be desired. Some packages =
won't even reveal whats in side the program frame while others simply = are
invisible to the screen reader. Chirp has a cross platform model = that only
has accessibility in Linux and no where else.
Now, I have forwarded him information about what can be done and make = this
a relatively painless work around. The last time I suggested so, I = was
rebuffed and politely escorted off the list for a 10 day ban. This = time
out, I simply present the information that will make his project = usable by
all. not sure how he will take this.
I can forward links on request if needed.
thanks.
eric
