Ear John,

Music comes on when you first bring up my home page.

But on my recordings page:

www.ringwald.com/recordings/php

There are several samples. Did you hear those?

I made my living playing music for 25 years. Now just do it on the side for extra money as I own a vending machine company.

I used to get to NY often when my daughter lived there. But she moved to LA so I don’t get there any more.

Always went out and caught the music scene in the city, especially John Giordano and the Night Hawks, Jon Erik Kellso, Dan Levinson, etc plus back in the 80s the New Eddie Condon's, and a whole bunch of other clubs.

I really miss getting to NY now.

Bob

I play the Sax and Clarinet, stopped playing in bands about 20 years ago
mostly Dixieland. Now I play for myself.
I listened to as much as I could. I wish I was in CA to catch you live.

Thanks. Are you a musician?

Did you hear just the music that starts when you go to my home page? Or =
did you hear some of the music on my recordings page?

This is from my ham radio page at:

www.ringwald.com/ham.php

In the late '50s, Bob used to hear Morse Code from Russian commercial = =3D
stations on the 80-meter band. He tried many times to contact the =3D
stations, but was always ignored.

One night in frustration, Bob called the Russian and instead of =3D
identifying with his call K6YBV, he sent the call of the station that = =3D
the Russian was calling.=3D20

Lo and behold, the station came back to Bob and started sending Morse = =3D
Code in Russian. When he stopped for Bob's reply, Bob told him that he =3D =
was really an American ham. The Russian didn't wait for any further =3D
explanation. He immediately broke off the contact and would not =3D
acknowledge Bob.=3D20

What with the political climate in the USSR at the time, Bob always =3D
wondered if some poor unsuspecting Russian radio operator got sent to = =3D
Siberia for communicating with the United States.
