Linda,
You could get a "y" cable from Radio Shack, Best Buy, and so on.  It 
has two stereo male plugs one at each end of the "y" which would go 
in to either of the speaker/headphone outputs on the TMV71a.  The 
plug from the existing speakers would go in to the female plug at the 
bottom of the "y".  Then you would have each output  coming out of 
its own speaker.  I used to run a TMV7a that way and I liked the 
different outputs at different parts of the operating desk.
