I Have the 3600 also, been in good service for 5 or more years.
Its great advantage is that the scan bed goes right to the edge of the unit
so that it will scan into the binding margins of books.

Yes, the current one is the 3800.  We have one of these and it seems to be
as good of scanner as any we have had.

Thanks Albert.  I think the current one is the 3800 if memory serves.  They
do seem a bit expensive, around $300 I believe.

I have the Opticbook 3600 by Plustek running with k1000 v13 under Windows 7
and it works well.
