Does anyone on this list have any experience with the Alinco djx11t?

I just purchased one to replace the Yaesu VR-500 which I gave to my wife.

I had HRO in Sunnyvale set the battery saver feature and the voice guidance
feature to on for me.

The manual that comes with the rig or that can be downloaded from the web
site is pdf of course and not especially informative.

Also the kind folks at HRO gave me a description of all the controls on the
rig and their alternative functions.

I took careful notes on all this.

I have two questions?

First it says that if you want to use alkaline batteries vs the rechargeable
one that comes with the rig you have to set this option in a menu?

Second, how does one activate the 2nd vfo.

There is a button called main and one called sub on the keypad.

I assume these are the ones that switch bands.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can be reached by phone on evenings and weekends at:

73,

Eric
