Gary, thanks much.
Mostly it is the extreme stress involved with the job.
You are dealing with very stressful situations such as a bad traffic
accident or someone having a heart attack and begging for help.
I deal with kind of stress all of the time.
And another example when an officer is on a traffic and he yells on the
radio for back up or you hear that dreaded officer down call.
I hope this gives you a little understanding.

Hi Junior,
Congrats! The burn out you mentioned. What causes the burnout? Gary

A hearty congratulations to you on your retirement, Junior!

I can just imagine all of the fun you will have in terms of using that great
loop antenna, and further building your station in the years ahead!

I have started the process for my retirement.
I will work until February 28 and on March 1st then I start burning all of
my leave time.
My official retirement date is August 1.
I will have 5 months of leave time to burn.
I am gonna have a lot of time for ham radio.
