Tom, again, I had the same problem, and I solved it by doing what I told you
in my previous post, i.e. go to tools menu, select the compatibility setting
and add that website to your compatibility settings. I think you will find
that you will be able to select what you need on the website after that.

I had the same problem when trying to select radio buttons and other choices
on a website I manage. When I went into the tools menu in MS IE and selected
the compatibility settings and added the site I was having trouble with, it
fixed the problem.

But my dilemma is that I can't figure out how to answer either yes or no in
the required check box.

I can't seem to get there reliably.

Perhaps if I can somehow turn the internet explorer notification area window
function off in IE 9, that might solve my problem for good.

Tom,

After re-reading your initial message regarding this problem I've found the
answer. I think the popup that you encountered was generated within
Explorer. When accessing a site for the first time Explorer asks if you
want the password you typed to be saved so that you don't have to enter it
again. The passwords are saved within Explorer. If you indicate that you
don't want Explorer to save the password it won't and you won't have that
problem again. In addition there is a setting deep in the Explorer menu
system to adjust those parameters. I hope this helped.

	Dave:

Yes, I am familiar with WM7D, and will switch to that if I continue to have
access issues with QRZ.com.

I don't know if my issue is unique to my particular setup, so will just have
to wait to see of others with similar setups have this problem.

I recently also encountered the notification area window on the BARD site as
well when I tried to access some books, but was able to work around it. I
was unsuccessful with QRZ in this regard, though.

Hi Tom,

I was on QRZ a few days back and I didn't see that problem. If it is just a
matter of looking up a callsign and not other specific services unique to
qrz use wm7d. It is much more accessible than QRZ.

Hi, all.

This morning, I went onto QRZ to look up a call sign, and, once again, had
access issues.

Once I logged in, with my call sign and password, I got some sort of a popup
notification window, asking if I wanted to save my password to QRZ. Of
course, I attempted to say yes, but couldn't get out of the window, and
could not navigate through the main screen. I tried to use Alt N to get to
the appropriate spot in the notification window, but nothing happened.

I am using Windows 7, Internet Explorer 9, and Jaws 14 here.
