I hope the link below will open for you. It shows a poster denoting the current
impacts of a meat-based diet, all of which are true, if one consumes factory
farmed meat and dairy. I find it discouraging that this is considered the apex
of current thought about nutrition, and that if one will eliminate these products
from the diet, the thought is that the environment can be spared AND a person's
health improved. Factory farming has had a hugely devastating effect on our
natural environment as well as on human health. But it is a non sequitur to jump
to the conclusion that eliminating meat and dairy from human diet will improve
health....
Addition thoughts on this are welcome.
(Environmental issues have always been at the forefront of my concern about
food and food production, and I'd hope they are important to most everyone
who buys food.)
