James, I urge you and other groups of similar persuasions to inculcate
as a fundamental principle, TO ENGAGE, TO NEGOTIATE AND TO RECONCILE,
and let this guide your approach in responding to the challenging
social, economic and political issues that confronts our democratic
aspirations.
And even if, TEMPORARILY, let the tone, the language and dynamism
change the trajectory of the Diaspora struggle and necessitate a move
away from a militant and confrontational posture, to one of dialogue
that seek to underscore the active participation of all stakeholders in
building a lasting and enduring democratic polity.
The dynamism, activism, commitment and sincerity of you all in the
forefront of this struggle is unquestionable, and my plead is to try
even if TEMPORARILY to change the trajectory of the diaspora struggle.
Rene
