When I want to convert a YouTube video to mp3, I use some of the free
websites. I think the one I use most often is this one:
www.youtube-mp3.org/
But I know I've used others.

They all work more or less the same. You paste the video's URL into an
edit field, check a conversion option and press enter on Submit. I think
the converted file is returned as a link for you to download.

Sometimes these sites have length limits. Sometimes you need to
register. Sometimes they're slow and crashy. I notice that, if I try to
convert more than two videos at a time, they tend not to cooperate.

Having your own software is a better option, of course, but this is an
alternative for the mean time.
