Hi all,
My wife and I will be at a Convention in Pittsburg Sept 20-23. I would really appreciate any suggestions & recommendations for GF restaurants in downtown Pittsburg. Places near the David L Lawrence Convention Center, or near the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel would be desirable, but we’re willing to go further for someplace special!
I am the only one of four people who is GF, so it doesn’t need to be a dedicated GF restaurant -- restaurants that have true GF menu options and in your experience the kitchen knows how to do proper GF preparation are fine.
I am still too often experiencing restaurants that say they can do GF changes to the menu, or are Gluten Friendly, whatever that’s supposed to mean, but whose notion of GF is only to leave out sauces or ingredients rather than trying to do a lovely GF dish.
Please reply off list. I will summarize on list if appropriate.
Many Thanks,
Marshall Lasky
