Hi Richard,

Basically, the Hampod is a micro controller coupled with a Double talk
speech synthesizer that connects to various radios and accessories via a
RS232 serial port to provide access to all or most of the devices features
using a 16 key keypad. The software for each device is custom designed to
work with the device. The Hampods are hand built in a two person home shop.

In most cases, a single Hampod can be used to access or control up to two
devices.

The cost is around $300.

Below is a list of devices currently supported:

Elecraft K3 and KX3 transceivers
Elecraft W2 SWR/Wattmeter
SteppIR Antennas (Both original and new SDA-100 controllers)
HyGain Rotor controllers using the Idiom Press Rotor-EZ interface
Green Heron and M2 Orion 2800 controllers

Go to the following link: hampod.com to get a complete description.

I use one with a Green Heron rotor controller and it is wonderful.
