I know it's not a braille display, but I use the Orbit Writer with IOS. It does great with IOS! The only complaint, and this isn't with the Orbit Writer, is that learning all of the VoiceOver key commands, so you can control the iPhone with your braille display, is a pretty long and steep hill. The upside is that once you climb this hill, you basically never have to touch the iPhone's display any more. Of course, you can cut down on the learning curve quite a bit if you're willing to use the braille display for input and the touch screen for some of the navigation. Like I said, I know this isn't a braille display, but if your questions have anything to do with braille input then maybe I provided some useful information.

Hi Harry,

I can try answering those questions but have to admit that Braille display preferences are a hot topic and a matter of personal opinion. I have used several and would be happy to talk with you about them. The first thing you need to do is to make a list of the things you want a Braille display to do. If you want to use it with a phone then you can also use it with a computer. There are lots of resources out there including mailing lists about Braille displays. Send me a personal e-mail if you want to talk about this more.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi all,

If anyone is using a braille display with an iPhone, I'd love to hear from you.

What braille display are you using?

Does your braille display do a good job with the iPhone?

Harry
