Sherry has stated things well.
Moreover, with the computer and auxiliary devices, much info is received
via online reaeding or download.
Frankly, I much rather read a document electronically rather than Braille
as I can quickly search for things.
You cannot do document searches in a Braille book or magazine.
Braille, for me, has evolved into a personal note taking thing with most
important things saved in electronic form.
It's far quicker searching for things that way and certainly takes less
storage room.
And people, in general, are doing more in electronic form and doing paper
held reading materials less.
It has nothing to do with literacy but rather more and more people find
and appreciate the convenience.

would have been viewed as either science fiction or fantasy.
