I understand the reason why the number of Jaws activations is limited.
VFO wants to make sure we're not sharing our copy of Jaws with lots of
people. but I sure do wish the process for getting new activations were
faster. I have Jaws on multiple devices, and sometimes bad things
happen, requiring a lot of deep-down troubleshooting or possible
reactivations of Jaws. I also usually have only one really good
computer, which I use at home, and a cheapy laptop and tablet, which I
use on the go and have to replace every two years or so. It never fails.
I discover I'm out of Jaws activations over a weekend or holiday when I
need my computer now. By this point, I'm proficient enough at NVDA and
Narrator to no longer panic when these things happen, but I agree with
Harry that we really should have fairly immediate access to new
activations, especially after paying so much money for the program. for
example, our activations should refresh automatically a year after we
last used a new one.

I'm posting this here because I know some VFO employees read this list.
