I've noticed the same thing, especially with Jaws: the screen reader 
reports an edit box to be empty when it isn't. In the case of the 
Greyhound website, I think the From and To edit boxes really are empty 
because there's no Search/Go button. My guess is that one appears one 
the edit boxes contain text.
